These boys come from the same shelter in south central Indiana!

Clinton is just north of Terre Haute, IN.

The shelter previously was high kill, due to the fact that the best friend and husband of the shelter manager were the kennel cleaners, and she would euthanize to make their job easier.

Well, there has been nearly 100% turnover, and they haven't had to euthanize for space! BUT, that is coming dangerously close to an end. These folks need our help!

Mitchell is a teenage labbie boy, who is being neutered right now at the university of Illinois. He is chocolate, and they have a LOW adoption rate of chocolates at this shelter.

Milo is SO cute. He is a teenage labbie/dane mix. SO cute, so loveable, he is a shelter favorate but has almost no chance of making it out when it comes time to euthanize because he is just a big black dog. :( He's already been there "a long time."

These boys need help. Can you be their guardian angel?

I forgot to say that Milo is at the UofI right now, as well, so they should be back by the middle of the week and ready to go!!!

I desperately don't want these boys to be euthed...especially Milo. He reminds me so much of ranger, who has really weaseled his way into my heart!

I should know something from Patty and Quincey soon Em.

Those are two seriously beautiful dogs! Em and Susan if you learn something where some of us could help, let us know.

Awwww I love Milo - what a beautiful Big Dog! I hope something can be worked out for both of them!

Normally the black labs get me every time; this time Mitchell caught my eye first. Milo, though, man he is going to be one big, long legged horse of a dog! They're gorgeous. Fingers crossed that Susan does her magic yet again!

I did not see on Petfinder how old he is. This is what his notes say:

Notes: Milo is a big lovable baby who is sure the way to get out of doing anything he doesn't want to do is to roll over and ask to have his belly rubbed. He weights about 81 pounds and still underweight. He never goes potty in his run and loves to leans against you for attention.

Milo has a rescue and a foster!!!


The only bad thing is....we need a rescue to take Mitchell ASAP or a foster to stash him until just after July 12.....

Can you help us save Mitchell, too?

Hey Em, can't Bonnie find a temp foster for Mitchell until after July 18. Patty from Adopt A Lab said that she could take him when she gets home from her business trip.
