      account removal

I've decided this site isn't for me. I saw a video of a blatantly cruel trainer posted by a member claiming the person was their trainer. Very distressing. I see prongs advertised as if they are not just sorry punitive devices that belong in the garbage.

I did not come here to have to defend myself against an entire group of people who don't know me. I am finding myself out of place here in many ways. No thanks. Please ban me and lock down my profile if you can. If not, that is fine... I'll just sign out and I'll be out of your hair.

Yeah... we are a bunch of sadists,

Well, some kill their dogs with prongs, others, like you, kill them with food

I'm sorry you feel attacked and that you need to defend yourself. Sometimes a member here will post something on a response to my thread I find mildly annoying or irritating, and I just ignore it and pretend it didn't happen. You can always just say "thank you for your input" but in your mind think "holy bleep, what a moron".

I have read all of your posts, and it seems to me that you will post a topic asking for help (the dewclaw/rough feet thread) and when people post their opinions and advice, you disregard it and say that everything is fine. We always advise giving the entire story here. If you had posted the pictures, said you had previously cracked Nigredo's dewclaw when clipping it and that you couldn't afford professional clipping, things may have gone much differently. Someone may post coupons for you, or a how-to and how to file them with a regular $1 nail file.

A lot of really great people exist in this community that don't have Labs. I believe Tanya doesn't have any Labs at this exact moment in time, but she had them before and is planning to get new ones.

If you do genuinely decide to leave and are not just posting this for attention and more controversy, I wish you the best of luck with Nigredo, and I hope you use some of the advice given to you here, especially about Nigredo's dewclaw.

This isn't necessary. Aren't we all here to learn?

So you start this thread telling the OP not to leave but then you're basically saying that OP caused her own issue by not apologizing that her dog's dewclaw was too long? I really don't think that's the case. I've read through the posts that's OP has participated in and it appears that people are honing in on one issue (one that isn't related to the thread topic) and beating it like a dead horse. Ok so maybe OP's dog's dew claw is too long or her dog is overweight but there's a nice way to say that and offer advice and there's a rude way to say it. I don't blame her for getting defensive.

And fyi Tanya has a lab named Rocky.

There is no need to start a post about being unhappy and wanting to leave. That's really just creating Drama. Just PM Woody, the administrator of the board OFFLINE, and he'll remove your ID. Or just don't come back.

So I'm not a fan of these "ya'll are mean, I'm leaving posts" but seriously, why is everyone being so mean to this mean to this person?

Because she doesn't like prongs? Because she fed her dog 6 chicken thighs? Because her dog's dewclaw is too long?

Just reading her threads it seems like she lashes out at others when they try to help her.

I don't think anyone was mean to the OP. She got some advice (don't feed your dog 6 chicken thighs in one meal, clip your dog's nails) and I don't see these suggestions as mean at all. The OP has the tendency to become defensive, but no one has ever attacked her.

This thread and accusing everyone who has used a prong collar in training their dogs, on the other hand, is what I'd call "mean".
