    A long time ago...

I'm posting this here because I'm not sure anyone would remember but hopefully an admin will??

Ten years ago when my lab was a puppy I frequented this board. I had to register a new name because I lost the login info but my question is...

When I was on this board before there were a bunch of posts that were basically a story of a labs life. They were really funny and sometimes sad. There were a lot of them. Can someone tell me who wrote these or even better where can I read them again???

    Thanks!!!

The database as lost in a crash and everybody had to rejoin again. We copied as much as we could from the Internet Archive.

    Is this what you mean?

Life with Newman was something amazing, I loved it; the author was very talented, a great story teller (guess she was a pro - a journalist?) It IS in the archive, but I just can't get there: invalid links, dead links...
This is NOT a complaint, believe me, but the question is: Is there a way we could read the old posts, especially this amazing, and real, lab story, very well written, funny and educative? Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you. M&M

I didn't realize the links were broken. The only thing I think you can do is use the timeline at the top of that page and see if you can find one that isn't but it would take some digging.
    Thanks Everyone!!

Although the Wayback Machine doesn't save every portion of a page, you can read some of the stories elsewhere.
The most comprehensive collection is at The Iroquois Labrador Retriever Site - Newsletters These are the archived newsletters for the Iroquois Labrador Retriever Club, and if you'll go back to the very earliest, November 2007, and work your way up, the stories are in there.

“It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.”

Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely try it.

Thank you for the link; maybe I should've done some more diligent googling
