I made Mocha Frosty Paws, a cake and muffins for his birthday. For pictures, see Mocha's birthday pictures 2..
For the Frosty Paws, I use 1/2 quart Light and Fit Vanilla yogurt, 1/2 banana 1/4 cup peanut butter. Mix all together and freeze. For his birthday, I put them in the red 'shot size' solo cup with a small dog treat on top. For "regular treats" I put them in an ice cube tray.
I used the same cake recipe for his birthday cake and muffins. For the muffins, I used a bone-shaped muffin tin. I used about 1/2 the batter for muffins and baked them about 15 minutes. I used the rest of the batter in a small (6"?) cake pan and baked it for 30 minutes.
For the icing, I used 4 oz of cream cheese and mixed in vanilla yogurt until it was an icing consistency. I swirled a little blue food coloring top and voila!
I got the cake/muffin recipe from Allrecipes.com. https://allrecipes.com/Recipe-Tools/P...6&metric=false
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS:
1 egg
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract1/3 cup honey (optional)
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup whole wheat or white flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 6 cup ring mold. (I used a small cake pan) 2. Combine the egg, peanut butter, oil, vanilla, and honey, if desired, in a large bowl; blend well. Stir in the carrots and mix thoroughly. Sift together the flour and baking soda and fold into the carrot mixture. Spoon cake batter into prepared pan. 3. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes; then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely. (I baked for 30 minutes)
