Do you peel fruits and veg?

We just pulled a bunch of carrots from our garden and intend to give some to Stella. Do you peel carrots or even sweet potatoes before you feed them to your dog?

Nope, just wash and maybe use a potato brush on them. Eat my own carrots from the garden like that too.

ETA: Just thought I'd add, I don't peel potatoes for our own use either, not even if mashing or scalloping. I've had company for supper and served such and nobody noticed. About the only thing I do peel is store bought cucumbers because it's practically impossible to get the wax off them. And turnips.

Depends on what I'm using them for. So much nutrition in peels, i.e. potatoes. For soups and stews, I don't peel carrots; for glazed I do. A good scrub is all they need. As kids we used to fill a coke bottle with water and go to a potato field, dig a few small fresh ones, rinse and eat. YUM!

Mine eat them off of the vine. Tomatoes, blackberries, blueberries, zucchini, cucumbers and the occasional mouthful of kale or lettuce. They eat grass and lick their feet which touched the dirt. I don't clean their veggies.
