biscuit recipes............does anybody have some?

I'm looking for some biscuit recipes that don't use white or wheat flour, and would be nice if they had fruits and/or veggies in them. I found a site that had alot of dog treat recipes listed, but some of them had ingredients I wouldn't give my babies! So if anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I make treats for Java that are sort of like baby fish cakes. They are crunchy and break apart easily for training treats, plus they smell a lot. They're like puppy crack!

1 cup oatmeal
1 egg
1 can anchovie filets
1 teaspoon parsley

drop spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet, bake at 375 until browned.

I turn the oven off and leave them in for an hour or overnight to crisp them up.

I also make them with peanut butter instead of anchovies and add a little honey, too (no parsley). Now when DH makes pb cookies (for people), Java thinks they're for her!

Thanks so much! I'll give them a try. It's so hard to find a treat or buscuit at the store that doesn't have any of the 'bad' stuff in them. Especially since we have switched to a wheat and corn free food. Thanks again.

I had posted a recipe under Home made treats a few months back. I make the biscuits for Ella to give her wheat free home made treats. She loves these and you can use any combination of fruits and veggies. So you can search for that thread or look under my postings.

Thanks........I did a search and found them! They sound good, too. I'll definitely try them. My girls sure love their treats, but I want to give them something that's good for them. And doubly good if they come from our kitchen so I know what's in them!
Thanks again.

2 C Flour
1 1/4 C Shredded Cheese
1/2 Tea. Garlic Powder
1/2 C Veg. Oil
4 Tab. Water

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 or 15 minutes
Combine flour, cheese, garlic & oil. Knead well, adding water as needed to form stiff dough. Roll out on floured surface to 1/2" thick, cut into bone shapes. Bake until bottom of cookies are lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack.

You can substitute oat flour or rice flour (or any other flour/ground grain that you might like to use) for the white/wheat flour in any recipe.

Lovey
