Camera Help??

Yesterday I was out shooting and my camera (Canon 40D) started taking way too long to "recharge" the flash (not external) so I had to sit there and wait a good 20 seconds or so between some/many of my shots. I've never had this issue before and I don't know what was wrong or how to fix it. It did it regardless of what I was shooting (TV, Auto, Manual, anything...), I had fully charged the battery the night before (and didn't use it until then), my CF card was empty (it started after about 50 frames or so, maybe?) and I turned it off and back on to see if it changed...nothing. Any other suggestions? I haven't tried it again today to see if I'm still having the issue but I assume I am. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I've never heard of that before.

My only thought is the battery though. Enough power to run the camera but not enough for the flash after those other shots? Do you have another battery to try?
What it sounds like is the AAA batteries in my external flash. Even close to dead, they will recharge eventually though it takes a long time and while it's recharging, it makes all the same noises and shows the same info on the screen just takes forever to charge the flash.

I don't have another battery (bad I know) right now but I may see if that's it. I've only had this camera since March so I may need to contact Canon if it continues. I know when I use my external I've had issues with that but never my internal.
