Greetings: The stuff I use on my upholstery and electrical cords is any insect repellent that has DEET in it. I train retrievers for AKC Hunt Tests and since I spray it on myself, and since (unfortunately) I've gotten it in my mouth, I can attest that (A) it is awful in taste, a very unsatisfactory oral experience and (B) it doesn't kill you. But I can't say that on the forum or people will have a seizure.
