Costo food vs. Sams Club food

Has anyone tried the food from Sam's Club -- I believe it is called Exceed or Excel? I have heard great things about Kirkland's from Costco -- but since I don't have a membership to either I thought I would ask before I buy.

Thanks.

P.S. Anyone from So Cal area? Looking for lab play dates with my 11 month Sara.

Exceed

We used to feed Exceed, and our dog did very well on it. I had already made the decision to try something new, though, when Exceed changed their formula, so I can't say if the changed fromula is still good.

I have NOT used the Sam's formula, but I have looked at the bag and the first ten ingredients did not overwhelm me with excitement. The costco stuff is great, not only pricewise, ingredient wise, but also how my dog does on it. It is worth it to me to drive 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes to CostCo, even though Sam's club is 15 minutes away.

Wink Thank....

I just bought a 40lb back of the Costco Kirkland -- and gave my 11 month old pup a taste choice --- paws down she liked the Kirkland over the EXPENSIVE Science Diet Puppy I had been feeing her!!! I am glad I found this site and got all the info I did about Kirkland!

The true test, since you have a labra-hog dog,. is to see how they do on it, their coats, etc. This will take a few weeks to see. Be patient!

Kirkland is head and shoulders above the Exceed.

what about Nutricare?

Labby, I have a question for you. On another board, a member made a statement that Nutri-care which is also carried by Sam's Club, is the same as Kirkland. That isn't the case, though, is it? For some reason I seem to recall looking at the ingredients on a bag of Nutricare, and they looked more like Iams than Kirkland/Diamond. Any insights into this?

If my memory serves me correctly, Nutri-care is worse than Iams. It is nothing like Kirkland.
