Brian use to do this too. I got him one of those bowls with the ridges in it to keep them from eating to fast. But it didn't work. Now he refuses to eat out of any bowl! He will tip it over before he eats lol. So I got him one of those Kong things, he LOVES that thing. He will knock it around until some food falls out, eats it off the floor and start over again. He does get loud banging it around but he has fun

Just like Piccadilly, my dogs eat pretty quickly, and we don't have any issues with them eating fast here. I kind of like that they don't dawdle and just settle and eat. I also water my food, just before serving.

Even then she is done in less than a minute.I only feed her 1 1/2 cup twice so its not a lot.. But she will stop as she munches on these carrots. She will even look around and check out what is happening before moving on.
Timed it around 3-4 minutes from 30 seconds or less. just raising and 4 piece of baby carrots.

I bought Emma a kibble nibble and it slowed her down to eating food in 30 minutes compared to 30 seconds. We have lost it somewhere though during this holidays and I am very frustrated that I can't seem to find it anywhere in my house.

I just found our Kong wobbler under one of the living room chairs a few weeks ago. They all have "skirts" that go down to the floor and the wobbler was up against a leg so I hadn't hit it with a mop or the vacuum and realized it was anything other than the leg of the chair. The dogs were happy to see it, it still had a couple of kibbles rattling around inside.

I always used a cookie sheet. You just spread his kibble out on the cookie sheet, and your dog will have no choice but to slow down.

Zeke would figure out how to tip it and have it slide right into his mouth ....

I got Ava one of those slow feeder bowls. When she uses it, she finishes eating well after Sam who is, himself, a slow eater. If I am taking Sam somewhere and Ava will be alone, I put her kibble in a treat ball that can take her 20 to 30 minutes to get all the food out rolling it around. I like that best but can't do that when Sam is there or there's trouble over the ball full of food.

I know someone who had a dog trainer who said to spread the kibble out. If she spreads it out on the patio, it take a while for her dog to roam around and eat it all.
