I have a lab mix who is sensitive to red meat as well as any protein with feathers. This leaves me with very limited choices. Currently, he is doing well on acana heritage fresh fish. I'm considering the acana singles pork. Does anyone feed this or have any ideas ? I would like to rotate proteins.
How did you determine he was sensitive to red meat and fowl? And pork wasn't tested? Pork is tested on the Nutriscan saliva test, maybe it would be a good idea to do that test? I guess depending on how strong his reaction to what he shouldn't eat. I had my dog tested and he shouldn't eat turkey but chicken and duck are ok. So hard to guess if pork is more red than not. I did rotate proteins and main carb sources at one time and I mixed up brands with no problem, maybe that would help you?
