I would get Pro Plan Performance 30/20. Its an ALS food and you can change now and keep the dog on the same food until he's older and you want to try an more natural food then.
Hi all.
I have a new little guy--he is going on 12 weeks now.
He came to me on Puppy chow and I left him on that for a good two weeks to give him time to settle. Then I slowly started adding in Fromm Puppy Gold (since my other dogs eat Fromm Gold, I thought I would try the same for him for simplicity when he moved to adult), but when I get up to 1/4 cup, he gets very mushy poop, and it doesn't go away. I don't believe the Fromm is going to work for him.
It's been a long time since I've had a puppy as my oldest now is 15 and youngest before pup is 11. Also lost my 14 year old golden last Fall. I raised these guys on Eukanuba and they grew up well and have lived good long lives, so I am considering Eukanuba for the puppy.
But I also used Pro plan with good results on my dogs so am considering this as well--I'm just confused about which formula???
I would appreciate any input.
Thanks!

Along with Jen's thoughts, either the Pro Plan 30/20 Sport formula, or the regular Pro Plan puppy food, you should be able to transition pretty easily to either formula, since he came home on Purina Puppy Chow, although the Pro Plan formulas are quite a few steps up in quality.
That said, we know quite a few very successful Labrador breeders that feed Purina Dog Chow and have absolutely gorgeous and healthy dogs.
Good Luck!

Thanks Ladies! I appreciate the help!
Feeding Pro Plan Focus large breed puppy here and she is doing great on it.
He's been on the Pro Plan full time for a couple of weeks maybe, and so far so good! His coat is already improving, poop immediately improved and he is way full of energy. lol. Thanks again everyone!
