It sounds like he is not getting the nutrients out of the food. You may want to consider a good probiotic to increase the good gut bacteria. Talk to your vet about it.
I am going to call the vet to see if I should take in a fecal sample. They did blood work and I thought that might red flag parasites. I’m driving near the vet today, so I could easily run in a sample. One thing I didn’t mention is that Marley poops a ton. On long runs or walks he goes 4-6 times. I fill more bags than you could ever imagine. It’s like it runs right through his body. Generally it is solid...no diarrhea issues. But it’s a pain to carry so many bags. Marley is smart and takes me to the nearest garbage can each time. After he poops, I say “Trash can, Marley! Where’s the trash can?!” He runs right to the next can. Thanks again for all the wonderful advice, dear friends.
