    Try both and see which one works best.

    A couple of years ago I got fanatical over dog food, checking web sites, making phone calls to various companies, talking to other pet owners, learning the questions to ask, what to look for and what to stay away from, it can be quite a merry-go-round, spent weeks in my spare time.
    If you ever get bored……..go for it.
    I decided on Champion Pet Foods but let me tell you what I heard bad about Fromm;
    NOTHING! Not one thing. Everybody that feeds it seems satisfied, so I agree…..try both, you won’t go wrong.

    P.S. Used to be; if you called Fromm they would you send sample bags in the mail, not sure of anybody else.

    Now if I go with Fromm, can I feed the Gold line, which I don’t think is ALS, to a 9-10 month old? Or should I feed her the puppy formula until she’s 12 months?

    You should be fine feeding Gold adult to you dog. Many switch to adult/ALS food at 8-9 months.

    Awesome thanks. I think I may try the gold and if it goes well I should be able to rotate between them all.

    Adult food at this stage is fine for a lab puppy.

    Since we moved to the Fromm gold, we would always have hard then soft poop. Never solid stools consistently. After a few negative stool samples, we thought it could be indiscriminate eating, or she may not be getting along with the from so we started her on Wellness complete health grain free. Has anyone experienced this with Fromm and does anyone feed wellness?

    The norm for my dogs has always been hard poop at first and then a bit softer. If the first poop of the morning is all hard, I know there's more to come on a second go'round...we're not through yet. Also, things like treats can soften poo depending on what they are or if they create a too-many-calories situation. It's not uncommon for our dogs to have one softer poo daily if they've had lamb ears, dental chews, or grain-inclusive biscuits.

    I've never tried Fromm but Wellness was too rich for mine (serious soft poo and gas).

    Thanks, I guess all dogs are different. We’re in the food transition stage about half and half right now with the supplement perfect form and things have been great for days. Once she’s fully on the wellness and off the perfect form, we’ll see how she does on just kibble and adjust accordingly. What are the most popular foods with you guys? I was debating between wellness, blue, and Acana, but I feel Acana would be too rich.
