Eukanuba is a step up from Iams in quality, yet a similar ingredient profile, so that's an option to consider.
I have had puppy buyers do the same thing, try to change food (even Innova LBP, which I'd have thought would work well), and stools were never right. Finally got them to change back and they said omg, why did we not do this earlier?
Please reconsider for your pup's sake. If he has gas that bad, he can't be feeling that great.

I'll start by saying I have fairly limited experience when it comes to puppies overall, but I'm on my second one in 2 years at the moment. I'm in a bit of a unique position, as I imported both dogs from the UK. With the first one, the breeder was feeding Royal Canin Maxi Junior. So I fed the equivalent here, Royal Canin Maxi Puppy. With the second, I did the same. Bruce's poops weren't the greatest at first, a bit on the soft side but they were formed. I chalked it up to the stress of the trip, new environment, etc. About 3 weeks after his arrival, I had runny poops. Had the poo tested, no parisites, giardia, coccidia, etc. Did a round of Metro, poops got better, but still soft. I talked the the manager at the local pet store where I get my food, and he told me the RC had changed the formula of their food. So I did a comparison of the RC Maxi Puppy (US) and the RC Maxi Junior (UK) and the ingredient list is completely different, as are the protein, fat, and fiber levels. So basically I did a complete food switch on a 10 week old puppy, with out knowing it.

I've been feeding Sophie Fromm grain free, rotating protein for about 18 months now, and I thing she's doing amazing on it. I picked up a bag of Fromm Large Breed Puppy this week, and have slowly started mixing it in for Bruce. His poops are getting firmer, and I hope to be completely changed over in about 3 weeks.

With all that being said, I agree with everyone that unless needed, don't change from the breeders food unless you have a valid reason to do so. If I had known the UK food was different from the US food, I would have had some shipped here before Bruce arrived, as it probably could have prevented the issues we had.
