Back then we didn't know as much. Dog has hip dysplasia or OCD and a limp and mostly it just was what it was. Dog has a limp. Also, dogs were not as fat back then. I had an old vet when I lived in NY who told me the key to life is good genetics and keep the weight down.
We had a little mutt when I was growing up. She lived to be 17 and she ate Pedigree her entire life.
I've fed proplan sensitive skin salmon before and am thinking to go back. It's supposed to take 3 months to complete a switch - is that true??
When we were growing up...we adopted a puppy from the shelter, Skipper. He was absolutely the best dog ever! So smart and gentle. He never had any formal training and he would eat anything my Mom would throw in his bowl.
He also lived a very long life...16!
Go figure! Why is everything so complicated today! LOL!
