This is very scary..
I never understood why any dog would need grain free...I always thought it was very gimmicky!
Sophie has been on grain free for almost 6 years. Predominantly Fromm. MY boy Bruce who died of heart issues at 21 months old was on the same grain free rotation as Sophie for about 10 months. It does make me wonder if the food had something to do with Bruce's death.

Me as well. But I also think as in EVERYTHING, moderation is key. And rotation probably helps too. The food I feed Jack is grain free and I like it for him. He seems to tolerate PP SSS but I prefer the beef he's on, and unfortunately, its only available in grain free. But he also eats a ton of other stuff too. Never made sense why all of a sudden grains were bad but making the dogs eat a ton of potatoes and peas was BETTER. If your dog can't eat grains, go raw.

Interesting. Which Farmina do you feed?
Until this issue is settled, I reluctantly switched Lido from TOTW Puppy to Royal Canin Labrador Retriever Puppy. The ingredients in RC don't appeal to me, and the calorie count is low, so I had to increase his already large portion to keep weight on him. I'd love to hear a scientific, definitive resolution to this uncertain situation.
