It's vitamin E that she wants for the males. Something about the reproductive system. Testicles, I guess. I can't remember exactly. Vitamin E, to the best of my knowledge, doesn't hurt the girls, but she only wants a couple specific supplements given to the puppies so she's specific on what she wants them to have.

When the surgeon re-examined her elbows, she said everything looked normal, no pain, no inflammation, no visible abnormalities. That was 5 years ago. I kept her on all the supplements because it made me feel better.

Her elbows were re-xrayed this summer because she was limping again. The vet said both elbows look completely normal. She had some tendinitis in her shoulder this summer, we don’t know the exact cause of her limping as a puppy.

When Sass was around 8 months old she developed a limp on one of her front legs. Radiologist thought the x-ray was equivocal for elbow dysplasia - thought there *might* be a shadow on it, but couldn't say for sure. We managed conservatively for a couple weeks, the limp went away and we waited with bated breath until she was 2 and old enough to have her elbows checked by OFA. X-ray was perfectly clear with no signs of a problem at all. Last week she was briefly limping on the other front leg, so I suspect there is something about either her structure or her play habits (she loves to pounce on things) that causes her to strain her shoulders or biceps now and then.
