There is not enough probiotic in regular yogurt so the holistic Vet has us giving Oban Acidolpholus in capsule form. He gets the adult human dose, three caps of this brand. Maybe that would be an option? It would avoid the dairy and probably Jessie would not need 3. Oban gobbles them up on his food. Oban doesn't like the yogurt, can't say I blame him, unsweetened, yuck.

Jessie loves yogurt, just say the word & she's standing at the fridge.
But I think you have a point, Snowshoe.
As a matter of fact, I bought some very pricey probiotics for myself the other day because I had to go on antibiotics. The pharmacist told me to take 3 per day & I asked him about the dog & he recommended I break just one capsule over her food per day. He said there are zillions (?) of probiotics in this particular brand.
So far, we're putting fish oil, coconut oil, & osteo support on her food. What's another sprinkle of something gonna hurt? lol

Wow, if I had to put all that on my dog's food I'd be looking to change foods because obviously that one isn't working.
