Agree with Woofie...I'd be rotating between different brands if they were all equally tolerated.

I agree with rotating. Pro Plan always is my main kibble, but right now Grace is on Fromm's. Jack is on a mix of Earthborn Holistic and Evangers and Grizz and Jed are finishing up a mix of Pro Plan and Wellness. They also get raw. I'll probably put them all on Evangers for a bit once we are in need of kibble again.

My parents were over this weekend and my dad commented on Sam's coat. He asked me what I was feeding him and I was scratching my head because that's the last thing he usually asks about. He said he wondered because Sam look so shiny and sleek and his coat looked better than he's ever seen it. I guess the Holistic Select is working better than I realized.

Sam had been on Pro Plan since we got him from the breeder. The main thing I hoped to see was if a food change helped his anal glands. He scoots his butt all the time and has to have his anal glands expressed at the vet every 4 to 6 weeks. So far no change in that regard, but I'll give it some more time before the final verdict.

I notice moms Border Collie so far does best on Fromm Game Bird and Lamb and Lentil with no anal gland issues. She had issues with Hi-Tek naturals chicken and Fromm Surf and Turf.

chili has had a different bag of food until he tried this Amazon.com: Instinct Raw Boost Grain-Free Venison s Variety 23.5 lb Bag: Pet Supplies

Instinct Raw Boost Grain-Free Meal Formula Dry Dog Food by Nature's Variety Bag

he never really had a problem with any of the foods except proplan salmon. but I am happy with the raw boost. 1 23pound bag lasts a month. good luck with the food game.
