My internet searching indicates that 90% of Wellness products are now made in their own plant in Mishawaka, Indiana. Of course I can't find what the 10% product not made in house is nor where it is made. They have been expanding their manufacturing plant over the past few years in order to have all in house manufacturing. I think the Diamond plant problems was a huge eye opener for many. Wellness did a voluntary recall of all products that might have come from that plant in 2012 when the huge recall happened. WellPets claims they do salmonella testing of all products before they are released. While searching sites that analyze and rate dog foods,I discovered they seldom give a date of their review. Dog food formals change and the sites are generally not updated. That is not very helpful.

You are correct, they were, at one time. Diamond made the majority, and someone else made some of their product line (I can't remember who). I was feeding Lucy Wellness when she was younger, and when I came here and learned they were co-packed by Diamond, I ditched them, and went to companies that manufactured their own. After Diamond had their second (!) huge issue, Wellness made other plans, which was to self-manufacture.
For anyone who's interested in finding companies that currently produce their own, the new issue of Whole Dog Journal has the 2015 list, with that info.
