THIS MAY BE A DUMB QUESTION but I'm really bad with this stuff and know many of you are geniuses on the subject...
Question: My boy has been on the same food since he was a pup- well he was on the puppy formula and then switched to the adult. He has always done so well on it. We've never had any issues. Ever.
I've been doing a lot with supplements and making sure I'm doing the best I can for him. My in laws feed Fromm and I know that it's a better food overall than what we are feeding.
I am a horrible dog parent - I didn't pack enough food for my boy. We stayed at their home for a couple of day's. I was short one meal. I said no problem I'll feed him some of your Fromm (duck and sweet potato). He was fine. No change in stool. etc.
I know it was only 1 meal...how many would I need to feed before I noticed any "negative" issues, digestion, gas, change in stool etc.
If there's anything to notice, it'll be within 72 hours/6 meals.

Chili has eaten alot of different brands and the couple recipes he didnt like showed results in poop within a day or 2. overall, he has eaten over 10 different brands/bags and didnt like 2 that I remember. The 2 he didnt like were expensive, well liked brands by others. what was odd to me was a fish recipe caused him the most dry skin, didnt make sense to me sinc it was fish. If it isnt broke, dont try to fix it and variety is the spice of life are 2 sayings that make it hard when it comes to dog foods.

Maybe you'd never notice. Some dogs don't go into digestive distress with the changing of food. I can change mine cold turkey no problems.

I feed Fromm, currently pork and applesauce. Will feed this for 3 bags and then change to another variety of Fromm. They have not had a problem when staying with Fromm. I did do a slow change over when changing to Fromm. Took about a week of slowly decreasing the old stuff and changing over to the new. Nobody had any problems. For supplements, they get 1000 mg of vitamin C per day - human grade chewables that they readily eat with their meals. Mardi gets Hylasport and Archie gets glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM-Cosaquin DS.
They both get frozen green beans and fruit every day. I'm a pretty mean Mom and don't give them much in the way of "off the table" foods. I also periodically put a tablespoonful of plain Greek yogurt.

I've been feeding Fromm to Sophie, rotating proteins for almost 2 years with no issues. I've been very, very happy with how both dogs have done on Fromm. I do add some greek yogurt, or a raw egg yolk or some cooked salmon scraps which I get from work. Both dogs look great.
