Question Should we switch ? Purina farm grade feeds vs. commercial brands

My 9 yr old chocolate lab has done very well on the kibble
We have fed her for 6 years.

We purchase from a local grain store which recommends
It highly. It is Exclusive Brand manufactured by PMI Nutrition,
    The farm division of Purina.

This law suit on Beneful food has me second guessing.
    Thoughts or suggestions welcome.

If she does well on it I'd keep feeding it and not worry. At one point PMI was going to sponsor my husband's chocolate for dock dogs, and from talking to them it sounds like they are very much seperate from Purina in how they do things, if that makes you feel better

PMI (Purina Mills Inc) is not the same company as Purina. That division was split when Ralston Purina sold its assets.

Nestle owns the Purina that makes Beneful and other brands.

Land O' Lakes owns Purina Mills.

    Two different companies.

I still plan on feeding Pro Plan, which is a Purina product.

I'm still feeding Proplan SSS to Niner. I will admit though I have thought about switching him to Holistic Select (Charlie's food)

Plan on feeding Pro Plan to Max also

Looked into PMI exclusive few years ago , down side for me is the fact its only available at feed store furthest away from me.

If PMI is working , I would not change

I still plan on feeding Pro Plan. I have no intention of feeding Beneful, but the filing of the lawsuit doesn't mean the claims in the lawsuit are true. Lawsuits are all too common these days. Some have merit. Some don't.

Bought one bag of beneful but was turned off by the colors and shapes. No need for a dog to have food coloring or cute dog bone shaped kibble.
