I took Sam into the vet last night to get his anal glands done and they wanted to do his yearly check up because it was due at the beginning of April. I have just about finished up feeding him a medium size bag of Fromm Whitefish and was very pleased that he had lost 2 pounds. I haven't done anything different with him but change the food. He was 86.4 pounds yesterday. He had crept up to a little over 88 pounds a month or so ago, which was still better than his all-time high of 96 pounds last year. The vet thought he looked great so I was very happy!

Great news. Thanks for letting me know. I have started Charlie on a bag of Fromm whitefish and I've cut him down to 1 1/4 cups per meal. I'm hoping for the same results as you.

Good boy Sam. We started feeding the Fromm whitefish at the same time but I haven't had Ram weighed yet. I have noticed that his coat is looking great, his dandruff has cleared up, he's barely shedding and he's never had cleaner ears.

Macy gained over the winter too and was on Fromm. She is now on the More Exercise, Less Food diet. And so am I.

I was looking at Sam's weight history on our receipt from the vet and his highest weight was actually 99.2 pounds. Yikes!

Chuckles just had his annual vet appointment and gained 3.5 lbs since December. He's now getting out with the good weather for 30-60 minutes a day and swimming 3-5 days a week. The vet said have the people at the dog park quit treating him! Hopefully he'll get back to his goal weight of 75-78. He's 80.1 now.

Toby also gained weight over this past winter..

He has been on Wellness Grain Free Reduced Fat Core and he is doing great! I have the dry and the canned version.

You really need to watch the calories...some of these foods like Fromm are too calories dense with a high fat content.
