Can you tell me which Pro Plan you have your dog on? My 14 month old and my mother's dog (who I am taking care of again for three weeks) both have such soft poop - that it more like scraping it up rather than actually "picking it up." Gross! I am giving them both pumpkin and rice with their meal - and they are both eating Blue buffalo. Hoping the pumpkin will help for now!

If you want to use a Purina product, try the ProPlan Focus. Once Barley is over 2 you may want to consider rotating a few brands and protein sources. Feeding the same food constantly, day after day, does not seem to be the best thing for a dog.

You are lucky soft poo is your only problem with Blue Buffalo. Some of the stories I hear and read about are just awful. I know you can find opinions about any food out there but BB seems to top most of them. The current legal issues would be enough to send me running.

Niner also seems to have a soft poop problem. The best food he has done well on is Pro Plan sensitive skin and stomach. Although his poop is still soft I can usually still pick it up ok . Glad pro plan is working for you.

Good to know! That’s what we feed the puppies so I should pick up another bag.

I switched to ProPlan too and Maggie has normal poop after 4 years of soft-serve!
