My guys proved to not be able to handle any of the dog probiotic or pre/probiotic products I'd tried...even just using a smidge. Not sure why. The couldn't handle the probiotic I was taking at the time I was experimenting and that was a low dose from Puritan's Pride (i.e., not a big name brand or anything fancy).

They handle yogurt just fine, though, so I'm back to my tried-and-true Tbsp. of plain non-fat Dannon at dinnertime (that one meal only unless someone's taking antibiotics and then every meal that the med is given, too). There's also pre/pro in their NutriSource but, since it doesn't bother them, I'm actually assuming not much makes it through processing.

No one has tummy issues other than sensitivities to things I know not to feed.

Sorry in advance, I may be unusually dense at these things. I needed clarification when the rehab Vet said of icing a sore leg, "You can't do this too much." I honestly had the same question, once a day is ok but 10 times is not? Or 10 times is ok?

No, he said there was no way to overdose a dog w/ probiotics. I personally use Bacpak Plus by N-zymes. The dose for a Lab for that product is 1/8 teas. If you do have a dog coming off of antibiotics, it's typical to double the dose (give 2x a day instead of one) for at least a week.
