      Rabbit

Evanger's Grain-Free Rabbit Canned Dog & Cat Food

Has anyone fed these grain free cans? I wanted something new. Grace and Hudler are pulling the "Old and Spoiled". So a new flavor always tricks them to eat!

I haven't fed that one, but I like to add Nature's Variety Instinct rabbit! duck and venison formula 95% canned foods to the puppies and the dogs meals occasionally. It looks so good in the can, and smells good too. Have you tried tripe with them?

OH yeah, they love tripe, we keep the beef and bison tripe cans in the house, but I like to have something else in the house too. I have the Evangers Beef and Lamb cans too. Grace is so bad, she will refuse her meal, and she has me trained so that I'll make her a different bowl... LOL...that one she usually eats.

Pretty sure I have when Archie was post dental surgery. Don't particularly remember though since I was feeding him all canned at the time, a variety.

And who are those gorgeous puppies?

I have fed Evangers grain free as toppers for several years now - never a problem. I usually do buffalo and beef, but have tried pork and rabbit. They used to have venison, but not anymore. They also have chicken, pheasant, salmon and duck.

I use Evangers for toppers and kongs and mine love it, but seriously, it could be a can of spit-wads and they'd eat that with just as much gusto.

I have used all of the Evangers, mine love them all. They just finished a can of rabbit. I started trying the canned about 6 months ago when my picky Emma started turning her nose up at broiled chicken breast as a topper for every dinner. Since I have been giving them a variety of the canned and once in a while chicken she gobbles her dinner right up. They also like the Merrick 95% grain free canned, the Wellness Core Grain Free 95% and Natures Variety Grain Free 95%. They don't even smell like what I seem to remember canned dog food smelling like, they smell pretty good!

Shame you don't process your own. Rabbit is good for both dogs and people. Know lots of people who do this. Don't look for a can to feed but actually process and make it an economical venture.

Just thought I put that out there. Don't see any problem with feeding raw, just have to make sure the dog is getting all nourishment needed. Wish I had the guts to do it, as I have a pair of flemish (not the best meat rabbit) that I could have fresh food. But so afraid I'll be missing something needed for a pup's growth.

Who's talking about raw? I am talking about cans of food as kibble topper.

I know enough about raw, I have 3 that are raw fed and I actually have a meat processing expert at my house because my husband works for a bison rancher.

My apologies. Saw rabbit thought live rabbit. It is very good and knowing your raw source, some think it better than can. Just trying to help. Again my apologies.
