Well he would sit at the back door, go outside, graze awhile and then vomit up the grass and other stomach contents after a few minutes. Not sure what that was all about. I am just happy I have not had to clean up vomit a few days!!

First, if the vomitting continues at all on the Wellness, you definately need to get a full work up done by your vet to determine the cause. Vomitting on its own is generally not a sign of an allergy at all. It can signal an issue with his digestive tract/stomach. Eating grass is also very normal and shouldnt produce vomit. Mine eat grass all the time and never vomit. My lab is part cow, she does some serious grass munching, she loves it

I wouldnt worry about him putting the weight back on if he is eating and keeping it down. He will gain it back. Satin balls are generally for emaciated dogs. Weight gain should be slow and steady, there is no need to try and rush it, you certainly dont want to further irritate his system with a food overload. I have a very thin 10 week old lab puppy whos ribs and pelvic bones are sticking out and I feeding him 3 times a day, nothing extra except some boiled chicken and puppy nutrical. He was 7 pounds 2 weeks ago and he is now almost 10 pounds in spite of having coccidia

My Emma loves to graze and it never causes her to vomit. I just figured she had a bit of cow mixed in, lol!

I agree with those that caution doing anything other than feeding a little extra for a short time. Adding satin balls or too much extra may backfire. Now that he is keeping a good quality food down I bet he will gain and slow and steady is definitely best.

Rudy is keeping the Wellness down. It is the Simple Solution lamb/oatmeal. I also am giving him a bit of canned (same brand) every meal. I will just do that for a few weeks and see how he does. If the vomiting starts again, a trip to the vet will definitely be warranted.

Well. Rudy vomited Friday evening, 4 hrs after his meal of Wellness kibble and canned. No blood, mucous, bile in it, just the food partially digested. NO OTHER SYMPTOMS. Wants to eat, go for walks, retrieve, play, gums are pink, formed stool, no diarrhea, last stool was negative. Possibly gastritis, stomach worm, GERD??? Time for a vet visit.

The vet recommended having him eat ONLY his Wellness for 1 month. Nothing else, no 'human' food, treats, etc. She thinks he has a sensitive stomach, possibly developed an issue to an ingredient in the PP. He also got an Adaptil collar to address his anxiety issues. She says it is not anything intestinal or he would have had diarrhea. HIs coat is good, no fever, gums are pink. I appreciate that she wants to try this prior to jumping into expensive tests and imaging that may show nothing. We'll keep an eye on him!!

Rudy vomited Friday evening and Sunday morning. Time for an Xray and blood test. A friend mentioned protein leakage, her lab became extremely ill w/ this condition. Anyone had experience w/ this?
