Sophie has always been on TLC, though we're thinking about changing it up. She gets the occasional ear infection and, recently, anal gland issues (where they're not being expelled as part of a bowel movement).

We feed Nutrisource. It is a family run business and the food is made in their own manufacturing plant.

I think I might have read this on this site in the past. But it is a good (and hysterical) cautionary tale about choosing pet food.

Fridays With Freddy: Open Letter to Orijen Pet Food | Mike Rowe

God love you, Mike. But I don't think you learned this kind of elegant prose in your sophomore creative writing class.

I don’t want to overstate it, but the funk was simply astonishing. Not since my run in with the Mysterious Farting Cat have I confronted a stench so vile. With each passing day, my aroma worsened, awakening The Biped on more than one occasion, and triggering my banishment from the boudoir. The burning discomfort was unexampled, and also worth a mention. Indeed, each salvo was so preternaturally hot that I became convinced my asshole was in danger of fusing shut with every putrid blast. To the Biped’s disappointment, it did not, and the scalding, rancid wind only intensified, filling the whole house with sulphur and corruption.

Interesting I was just wondering. It looks like most people all give different foods. Many of the brands I have not heard of.

I just recently switched to Dr Tim's from Acana. 2 of the 3 seemed to be doing great on it. I wanted to get weight on my young boy and it worked. Problem is, my 3rd was getting reflux issues with that brand, so I have switched her back and I will switch the other 2 back when the bag of Dr Tim's is done. I will supplement my young dogs food with raw egg and white potato as per a recommendation from my vet.

Don't be put off by Dr Tim's by what I have said, I think it is a good food. But I don't want to be dealing with feeding one dog this and another dog that unless it is critical that I do so.

Feeding cat food to your dog will do that!
