    Kangaroo Ribs

I've been researching and trying to find things Piper can eat/chew (for pleasure and dental) that don't adversely affect her stomach. I found this and was thinking they might work for her. Have any of you tried them?

I will ask the vet next week when I take Rooney for her check-up but sometimes I'm not so sure that he is super current. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a fine vet and he was wonderful with Piper when she was so sick but I sometimes get a vibe that he might not research a lot of different ways to look/handle situations, know what I mean?

Anyway, let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I haven't tried the ribs but I've given Sophie a few of the tails. Sophie can get through a tail piece in about 30-45 minutes. The only issue I've had is poo's being a but runny from the marrow, and little rock hard poo's from the bone. Kind of a yin/yang thing.

Have you heard of windee? It's a cow''s trachea and it doesn't have any bones so it's safe. It's a single ingredient treat so there's no nasty stuffs added, just the cow's trachea rich in glucosamine and chondroitin which is good for the dog's bones. Not sure if your dog will do good with it but my babies like it so much and they never had any issues with it.

I would love to be able to find kangaroo bones of any kind for dental chewing. Oban's limited ingredient special kibble is kangaroo. I can find kangaroo meat but not bones.

I don't have any here at the moment, but I'll stop by the pet store and get the brand name. Maybe you can find them online.

Thank you Barry. I can find smoked kangaroo bones in the pet store but I tried one and they are very brittle and Oban breaks them up too easily and I'm afraid he'll swallow the big, sharp ended pieces. I need raw bones.

I got ya. The ones I use are Barkworthies, and they are smoked.
