    Earthborn vs Fromm

I've had Bowie on a rotation of Earthborn Holistic for about a year. He was doing good on it for a while but over the past couple months I noticed he was getting oily. Some of it has to do with the seasons changing but I thought maybe switching to Fromm might help him out a bit. My line of thinking is that Fromm has a bit higher quality ingredients so maybe he'll digest it better. I noticed his poop is smaller and not as stinky so I guess we'll see in time if he does better on the Fromm than Earthborn. I just really liked the price point of the Earthborn Holistic.

It may not even be the food and just environmental but I figured it wouldn't hurt.

Anyone else on the food rollercoaster with me?

yep every bag is a new 1. I dont see any difference to be honest. from nutro-wellness core- ppp sport-fromm...chili has been best in terms of size of solid hard poops with black gold...but ppp is decent/avg as all the rest. starting a bag of salmon ppp in about a week....maybe I just dont know what to look for other than poop!

I'm not roller coastering with all of them. eli is on raw, vangie is always changing due to her condition and we just left raw (thought she was allergic but it wasn't that) and is on ziwi peak lamb, and that is an arm and a leg and jake gets fromm, as i trust that company more than any others.(right now)

I'm on the food roller coaster too, mainly because of Roxy's stomach issues and me just trying to figure it out. We started on ProPlan Sport, switched to Earthborn for a bit, which she liked, then Annamaet Lean. She doesn't like the Annamaet alone, so I bought some Fromm to mix in with it. She doesn't really care for the Fromm either, and she hates the Fromm soft food I bought to freeze in her Kongs. She won't touch it. I bought a bag of Wellness Simple and gave her some for the first time tonight, but she doesn't seem to care much for that either. She spit it out, inspected it, picked it up, spit it out, and so on. I gave her a little ProPlan Sport tonight to compare and she ate it right up. We may have just gone full circle right back where we started. *sigh* Aren't Labs supposed to be ravenous eaters?

I do some kibble rotation; but I would not call it a roller-coaster. I have several different formulas my dogs do well on.

Fromm has been a trustworthy company to date. Some of their formulas are more busy than others and the price points are quite variable. Fromm's classics line is the most value friendly. I fed Earthborn Coastal Catch for a while with decent results, but their heavy use of pea protein bothered me.

Very funny (wink, wink). Charlie has been on Holistic Select for about 2 years (maybe more) and Niner has been on PP SSS for a year. So neener.

I like Earthborn, price is good, dogs like it, and readily available. Fromm is over priced, dogs are eh with it, and its a pain to find. I rotate with Earthborn, Simply Nourish, and Nature's Domain (Cost Co brand) and I'm thinking of bringing Wellness Core back in the line up.
