We're feeding Maverick Earthborn Holistic Coastal Catch. It's grain free, which we did because he had recurrent ear infections. Ear infections (yeast) and itchy paws have still been an issue so we went with a fish base very recently. He also gets fish oil/vitamin E, Vitamin B, and Vitamin C supplements. I'm not sure if the issue is chicken or potato/sweet potato. Maverick seemed to get worse itches and yeastier ears and feet on any of the Fromm 4 star foods, which is too bad because he really liked them all. If the fish base works we'll look at working in high quality grains back into his diet.

Earthborn Holistic is reasonably priced option. They have grain free and grain inclusive food options. It is a little less expensivethan, or right around the same price, as Pro Plan.

Just ordered Victor high energy to hopefully get all the dogs on the same food. Emma is eating Leonard Powell duck right now.

Puppy pro plan.poop is mushy but then again she eats everything due to teething. Recently we went on a road trip where everyday was close to 100. Her poop was nice and solid
now we are back .she is chilling and hydrated so back to mush.

Cookie and Sassy are on Pro-Plan Sport 26/16.

Chloe is on Annamaet Lean. She’s also done very well on TOTW Sierra Mountain. None of mine have done well on Fromm (well, I haven’t tried the youngsters but none of the other ones did).

Oban is on this for his gut issues but it's used for allergy dogs too and he is not itching like he was. He is also on TCM and acupuncture so it's probably not just the food that's cured his seasonal environmental itching.

Thor was always on ProPlan until recently when i couldn't find his specific type. I ended up switching to NutriSource and it has been amazing. He always had soft poops but with the NutriSource he's been firm and consistent, I never thought it was possible with him. He's only on his second bag right now but I am a fan.

Zach (as was my Puff before him) is on Kirkland (Costco's house brand) Adult Chicken, Rice & Vegetable which I supplement with 1/4 cup of cooked chicken. This product from the bag (w/o my supplementing) is rated 4 out of 5 stars by Dog Food Advisor. His poops are well formed but usually slightly/somewhat soft -- although they do vary sometimes to very firm, why IDK.

We have become big fans of the Nutrisource brand..(not to be confused with Nutro).

Toby does excellent on this food...loves it too.

I do mix in some Wellness Core canned food (chicken and broccoli or turkey and spinach).

My Vet tells me that canned food is actually much healthier than dry kibble. I love the Core line of canned foods.

Here is a link to Nurtrisource...they make many varieties including grain free.

NutriSource Dog Food, Cat Food, Super Premium Pet Food

They also have a brand new state of the art manufacturing plant and never a recall.
