Bailey eats tape. I don't understand the appeal. But I can't leave a roll of tape out, or unwrap packaging, or anything having to do with tape or he'll go right to town on it. He ALWAYS throws it back up too. Nutter.

I don't think it is necessarily as weird as the tape, paper and dental floss eating, but my cats loves chips, crackers and oreo cookies.

First I had one that loved chocolate and cheese, then I had one that loved tomato sauce. Go figure?

Same here! Tostitos especially. Oddly though, she does not like me giving them to her, only stealing them.

One of ours eats anything he shouldn't. The litterbox is always a treasure box when I scoop it. One time he ate a rubber band and the vet told me to snip it off carefully, being sure NOT to pull it or when it was snipped the loose end would snap him in the butt and I'd never see the cat again!

It is VERY dangerous to pull stuff out of their hinders. If it is twisted in their intestines you can cause major damage. Better to trim the hanging part off and keep an eye out for something that appears to be stuck and not 'moving' out anymore.

Plastic bags and ribbons are popular menu choices if they manage to get ahold of them in our house but generally only two of cats tend to do this. One has had to have surgery to remove something it was gone by the time they tried to remove it. They figured she must have passed it.

My cat obsessively chews plastic wrappers. She leaves little perforation marks all over it. She also LOVES cheez-its. My last cat would actually drink spicy hot V8 juice. He had no interest in the non-spicy kind, apparently he was a connoisseur of tomato drinks.

Let's see... Buster loves rubber bands. That almost cost me. It happened during a snow emergency where we snowed in and businesses closed. I had to give him mixture of cat lax with broth for a few day to get him unblocked. I didn't know it was rubber bands till I checked the litter box and behold two rubber bands. Till this day I don't know where he found them.

Buster also loves any type of plastic. Have to watch him on that to. I caught him in the pantry eating a plastic grocery bag.

One time after DH was changing the fishing lines. DH didn't know that part of line was on the floor. Buster must of got a hold of about 8 inches of line and swallowed about 5 inches of it, with the line stuck in his mouth. Buster came to me pawing his mouth, and I had to pull it out gently to remove it.

He has more lives than any cat I know. lol I figure he has 3 lives used up so far. It's been a while since he ate anything weird, maybe he learned something, but I have to put anything up and away so he doesn't eat it. As for human food, he loves popcorn.

My Chocolate Tonkinese does this so we just have to be very careful. Growing up we had Tonks as well and Ms. Runt got some ribbon all tied up in her intestines - surgery and about 1000 later she was fine. I still don't use ribbon on packages anymore.

Loki, my Aby steals any food that he can get his paws on. Once he stole an artichoke wrapped in plastic wrap. He quickly realized he didn't like it. He has stollen pie, chips, popcorn, frozen meat, pancakes... Crazy cat.

my cat eats anything and everything!!! first off, he will try to eat ANY kind of food...cheese doodles, chips, cheese, cookies, oatmeal, cereal, pizza -- you name it, he wants it lol

he also looks for hair ties around the house & when he finds them, he chews on them for a bit and then brings them to his food bowl for me to find haha

but he will also try to eat paper, twisty ties, cardboard, lint, pens, pencils etc the list goes on and on!!

My cat doesn't care about any food. I can open a tuna can, cut up sashimi, crab, etc. No reaction.

Then I cut cantaloupe. Holy crap. The cat goes nuts. He is not lively either (lazy), but he gets physically excited over cantaloupe. Strange animal...

I wouldn't worry about it. I have had a lot of cats that will torture scorpions, even to the point of biting off the stinger before continuing to play. I have actually rescued a few (scorpions), feeling bad for them. Especially when the cats team up (once, 6 of them) to pass it back and forth. There are only a few species of scorpion that can honestly harm your cat (at least where I am from), unless they are allergic or something. Most scorpions are about equivalent to bee sting.

I had a cat named Oliver that LOVED green olives..........he would always take the whole thing in and somehow spit out the pamento whole. LOL

A note on plastic bags...........VERY DANGEROUS.......i had a very big scare one night after shopping when on ewas left on the floor, kitty went in to the bag and got his head thru the bag handle. He discovered he was wrapped and freaked out.........and i mean freaked out.........and went on a running rampage trying to get out of the bag, falling down stairs.....running into walls. I could not catch him until he exhausted himself and had to stop. Poor guy was terrified until i could catch him to get the bag off of him. He was fine. The whole nine lives thing. BUt he could have really gotten hurt. So please dont leave your bags around unless your attending the play session.
