Dog ID Tag Holder ?

Morning!

I am looking for a better holder/hanger for Jet's tags... The S hook that comes with cannot hold all of them nicely (license, chip, ID, rabies)

I tried one of those cabineer types that screw together at the end, and we lost his tag when playing in a field

I found this one online and it looks OK... http://www.dogids.com/sdogidtagat.html

Anyone know of a good one to get?

Thanks!

We have this one:

I love it because it holds all the tags and makes switching collars VERY easy - just snap it off and back on. You don't bother with the D link on the collar, you just wrap this bad boy around the collar anywhere you want and clip it closed. We have one for each dog. In the 4 years Annie's had hers, it has never broken or come off of a collar or dropped a tag.

It's also nice because it allows their nice tags to face forward like in this pic:

And this is what they look like on the collar:

Plus, it's dirt cheap. I think we paid like 3 bucks for ours in the store. For me, that's a definite plus! The only thing you'll need is one of those silver spiral key ring thingies. We have a ton of them, well, on our key rings. I don't think it comes with that but if you use that and the tag it, it's great!

You can get it here:

thank you! so, does the circle ring hold all the tags fine? I was worried they may slide off that...

Yup! We've never had a problem. Just find one that's tightly spiraled and firm. If you use a really flimsy one, you could have a problem. But honestly, we just used ones off extra key rings we had and it works great!

I use these from REI but put them directly on the collar, not on the D-ring. The screw closure does come loose sometimes, but they still can't fall off the collar.

I have big key-rings attached through the slits that the D-rings sit in and all of the tags on smaller key-rings. I just remove the small key-rings/tags on wash day or to switch collars.

Mine fell off the first day when I put it on the D ring. Neither one has fallen off or even come close since I put them around the collar itself.

I have had the one from REI for almost a year now, it has never unscrewed on it's own. The s-biner clip was the first one I tried and I did lose a set of tags with it.

I just put all the tags on a split ring with no problems. I use what would be used as a small key ring - I don't like them too big because I don't want their tags to dangle too low - makes it easy for them to get hung on something.

rings etc

I've tried the screw type, it fell off the first day also, luckily in the house.

The split ring is too hard to get on and off quickly for me.

The Petco one is the perfect idea - unfortunately our Petco doesn't stock them so I will order it online,

BTW HUGE sale online at Petco until midnight 11-22-09 with free shipping on orders over $45

There is one made like the Petco one called Tag-it...not sure what the Petco one costs but this is $3 on this site. This is what Nolan uses, we love it. Looks just like that Petco one so maybe go with the cheaper one? You can get them many place like 3DD or Amazon - you can google Tag-its and see what you get.

The one from Petco works great! I like that you can change collars easily-without getting the pliers out each time!

You can also get the tag-it holder that is shown above at www.3ddcollars.com. We love ours. We can switch their collars easily.

Only $4.50 too!
