I think there was a case like this where someone was bashing another person or maybe it was a company - can't remember what it was all about, but the person/company getting bashed sued. So be careful what you say.

Hm... so is this about not allowing us to have opinions? Maybe I am missing something here?

If she had two bad cases from the same breeder, then why should she not be allowed to express how she feels about it?

Sorry if I'm on the wrong track :/

I see where you're coming from but the lady should have known what she was getting herself into. Not to say that the breeder is not in the wrong but I can't tell you how many times I've seen it posted do your homework on the breeder before you buy. It could have saved her cost of pets and now $14,000

The problem is the way she expressed her views. You need to be able to backup what you state as fact with facts.

I would have liked to see what she actually posted. It's one thing to talk about your own experience. It's another to start characterizing the breeder as a puppy mill and whatever else might have come up during the course of that thread. I'll bet that it was pretty extreme. And, let's face it, genetics are funky. Puppies aren't manufactured products. There are no guarantees.

This. I couldn't have put it better myself.

I'd like to see what she actually posted too. She says it was that they sell sick dogs. Well, that's true. They sold her not one, but two, sick dogs. And how is telling people on the internet not to buy from a particular business because they did you wrong any different from poor word of mouth? Every business owner should know that when they have a dissatisfied customer, that person will not recommend them to other people and will most likely tell all their friends NOT to do business with them. Libel suits are generally hard to win, as the party suing has to prove that the statements were both false and did actual damage to their business/reputation. I don't see how they could prove either. Hopefully, this will be overturned on appeal. Most of these types of cases never stick and for good reason.

While I have no opinion or facts on the parties in question here Quebec has a long history of being a puppy mill haven. If you dare, go to cbc.ca and search on "Quebec puppy mill". I think you will probably be shocked and disgusted.

Before any jumps on be for being a "tete carre" I would like to point out that Quebec is an awesome place. Best snowmobiling in the world bar none, Montreal is an amazing city and we try to visit at least once a year, Quebec City and the Gaspe region are absolutly beautiful but the very last place I would EVER buy a dog would be in that province!
It must be very difficult for reputable/quality breeders, whom I'm sure exist, to operate there.
