We have no street lights or pavements (sidewalks) where we live and I'm always wary about taking the dogs out in the dark....but not any longer.

I think they work quite well.....they even have a matching daddy:brow:

We also have two CBR's, one of them we have had since he was 8 weeks old and our female was rescued in 2007.

We are looking into getting another Lab puppy sometime this coming spring and I started making inquiries about litters due next year from great hunting lines only to find the prices of these pups to be an outrageous $1,500.00. :eek::eek:

Now I am a firm believer in rescuing dogs and we currently are a foster home for CBR Rescue but we want a puppy that we can train to hunt. I know that most dogs coming through a rescue group do not have hunt potential as I see them day in and day out, if they did they would not be in rescue to begin with but thats JMHO.

Is this the price of all puppies today? Phil cost me 300.00 and Helmut, my CBR 600.00 7 years ago. What is the average price of puppies these days, I understand that lineage is a factor but what about your average well- bred puppy.

Any information would be a big help as we have not had to look for many many years now and I dont need to spend that kind of money in this terrible economic time.

I just received a call back from Miami Dade Customer Service Supervisor, Jack Galendo. The only thing he has on her is that she was a stray. Her skin test was negative (no mange) but it looks like she has skin conditions. Hot spots? Also, it looks like she did a number to her nose perhaps asphalt scrapping her or something. He did say that she has until the 22nd of this month. He is checking to see if any rescue group has extended the courtesy of a pull. He will get back to me and let me know. He would love to get her out and into a foster home. She needs some TLC for sure.

I apply the flea control products all the way down her back at my vet's recommendation.

I think I've figured out that it is a reaction to the K9 Advantix topical we have been using. She didn't seem to do this with Frontline.

I told her to rub/ tab his chest, to get some sort of response, then I hurriedly told her to call the Vet. The Vet said it sounds like Baby is having a heart attack, or stroke. So my niece called me back crying saying she's on her way to her Vet to have Baby put down. Which of course got me crying.
