| There are rules for carrying on discussions on this forum. Feel free to argue that the world is flat and the sky is purple all you want but do so with facts, figures and statements. Telling other members that the world is flat because they are stupid and that the sky is purple because they are an idiot will get you banned, no questions asked. I think that is a fair way to ensure some sort of civility on the board. |
| PM and Email System |
| The Private Message System and Email System are used for contacting members without posting publicly on the board. These two systems are not to be used to SPAM or SOLICIT your goods and services or promote your own WEBSITES in anyway. Doing so will result in your permanent banning, no questions asked.
The technology exists for the OWNER of the site to moniter the Private Message system. This "hack" exists on all commercial brands of board software. The OWNER OF THIS SITE does not read your Private Messages. The "hack" would only be used in case of something serious happening on the board such as illegal activity or accusations of harrassing behaviour. |
| The General OT Forum |
| As the description states in General Chat, this is the place to post about your lab or anything else that comes to mind. OT (off topic) threads are welcome but please do not start threads that will cause feelings to be hurt, start personal attacks. In addition, we are not interested in personal political or socio economic or religious beliefs.
Some examples of accepted OT topics are...OT:Golf, OT: My Daughter, OT: Anyone watch Big Brother, etc..... |
| Appropriate Content |
| This Forum has a mix of people on it as well as some younger views. Let keep our posts and attached images "clean". If you feel the need to post something a little more racey then please post it in the "Fun" forums as it is a little more light hearted in there. |
| OffSite Links |
| Posting of offsite links are more than fine as long as they are clean. But this is not an open invitation to SPAM your website in every post you make. If we find you doing so, you may be removed as a member. |
| Rescue Donations |
| There is a Rescue donation forum set up for events, charities etc. You must have 50 posts in to post there so that we get to know you. Please do not solicit donations etc in the main forum. |

| Profile Deleting |
| When wishing to leave the board the policy is to remove your username by changing it another name, strip your profile of all personal information and change your login so it cannot be used again. Posts will not be deleted, depending on the number of posts this can be a very time consuming issue. |
| Libel, Slander and Defamation |
| As an owner of the forum I am not responsible for what members post. It's the Craigs List Chicago descision. You as a member however are not. Do not post breeders, vet, trainers et al names and phone numbers and web sites and try to expose them or accuse them. Even if what you are saying is true you leave yourself open to a lawsuit. They seem to be happening more frequently in the news. Instead speak in general terms about your experience or ask if anybody has information on breeder "a" and have them PM or Email you. |
