Name your lab's favorite bone or chew toy

Our old labs would gnaw on bones for hours, we used lots of nylabones with them. Stella is almost a year and doesn't have a strong chew drive when it comes to her own things. We have kongs, nylabones, split antler, and some random bones via Barkbox which we get deliberately to try new things. She adores really only consumables - yak milk chews, bully sticks, and so on which gets expensive and eventually fattening.

Would love to know your pup's favorite chew toy.

With Archie's lack of many teeth, he prefers anything softer that squeaks. It seems more obnoxious the squeak the better.

Thor really loves raw marrow bones. We go to a local butcher that gives us what we need - Thor can't have smaller bones. We keep them in the freezer and it takes him hours to get through the marrow. It's not for every dog but really works for him. Since you mention consumables I wanted to bring it up. Thor will destroy a bully stick in 10 minutes (we buy the packs from Costco)

My guys aren't allowed to chew on anything hard due to easy tooth breakage. They get the occasional plain or bacon/cheese rawhide....but their favorite is lamb ears.

They agree with Archie that squeaky stuffed toys are the best....mainly their fake tennis balls and (right now) their floppy soft doggy that was actually bought when Dan's siblings were still here (washed, rotated, it's holding up well). Dan loves to shake them and will squeak for a good while...Sunnie doesn't do as much with them but she likes to steal them from Danny. They're great for chase activities and tug-o-war.

Oban doesn't have one. Jet liked a piece of cherry branch we left on the deck for her. None of my dogs have been chewers though Teddy did get marrow bones often.

My guys love the Zogoflex line of dog toys, since I banned heavy bones, and hard nylabones years ago. I never had broken teeth, but UC Davis had a nice display of dental issues due to hard bones at a student day and that was enough for me. For dental health/cleaning they get raw turkey necks or beef tracheas a few times a month, usually right after grooming, or nail dremeling.

The favorite Zogoflex are the Bumi

    And the newer Air Wox

And for some reason they LOVE Lamb Chop, and the baby Gurls still have the one they had in the whelping box.

Sierra used to chew on bones when she was a lot younger, but after she turned about 5 years old, she pretty much stopped. She likes to take her nylabone out of her toybox and carry it around the house, but after 2 minutes, she drops it and goes for something else instead. She gets an occasional bully stick (maybe once a month) and she loves the whimzees dental chews. Sadly though, the whimzees only last about 5 minutes.

    The list is very long...

    Top 5

    Knuckle bones
    Trachea (raw or dehydrated)
    Turkey necks
    Kongs (more licking than chewing)
The occasional rawhide flip (grassfed organic elk or buffalo)

Archie and Ferris also both LOVE the yak milk bones. I don't get them for Archie anymore because he will go through one in about 15 minutes, but at four months old, they are perfect for Ferris. There are three other things I've found that Archie will chew on:
    Benebone Wish Bone

This specific rawhide roll (made in USA). I buy these at least five at a time, and give one to Archie about once a week. I take it away after about 30 minutes, and at most he's only 25% through it, so they last.

THe Redbarn filled bones will hold his interest for a while. I've heard that some people refill them but I've never tried that:

I'm getting pretty good mileage with the Himalayan yak milk chews. Sophie is a hard core power chewer and cracked a lower k9 tooth on a raw marrow bone, so I had to stop those. Bully sticks were ok for Brooks until he was about 4 months old, once he started destroying them in 10 minutes I stopped buying them. I stuff Kongs with various things and freeze them, but nothing seems to last more than about 20 minutes.
