Whew! Back again and need some board mojo

Well, it took me a while to get back here... new board, forgotten passwords, etc.... thanks to the admins to getting things back up and running!

Haven't been here in a while, but it's not because I've been having any fun . And that's why I need some Lab Board mojo...

Turns out in the last five weeks, DH has been 1.) diagnosed with bladder cancer; 2.) had two surgeries; 3.) traveled back and forth to NYC three times for consultation / treatment 4.) will soon start heading to Rochester once a week for 6 weeks for treatment. Sigh....

We're beat, but holding up. On top of that, we're moving (again) in August.

We didn't catch the cancer early, but it was non-invasive, so we have that going for us. It's highly recurrent, so it's likely we'll go through this again and he has a checkup every three months for the rest of his life (key phrase there).

Still have two furkids... both are showing signs of stress in all this. Hailey, our 9.5 year old, has gotten worse with thunderstorms. Our holistic vet is working with us to get that more under control. Maddie, the 14.5 year old is still chugging along, but is really starting to show signs of slowing down. Vet thinks the stress of our situation is the culprit, as is the hot weather. It's a chore to get her to eat again and she's losing weight. So that's not been fun...

Soooo... how's everyone else's summer going!

LOL!!! I have to keep a good attitude about all this. That and tremendous Faith will get you through anything!

Sheesh, all that and you couldn't find time to come on here? No wonder. Good wishes for your DH and the stressed pups. Take care of yourself too while you are looking after them. Stay strong, think you will from the humour in your post.

Truck loads of MOJO on the way, along with some prayers. A good spirit and lots of Faith goes a long way.

You sure have had your plate full. So sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. I have a cousin who was diagnosed with bladder cancer, gosh it's got to be 15-20 years ago and he's still going strong. Like you mentioned, he does have procedures done at times. He looks great; he was at my parent's funeral in January. He's still working; works on 40'+ boats, engines and refurbishing.

The furkids do pick up on the stress. They are so sensitive to us.

Sending prayers and mojo for your husband. Calming thoughts being sent to the furkids. Hugs to you.
