There's a Golden Retriever puppy right across the street from me. Almost as good as a Lab puppy. And of course I still have two kittens. And they trump the GR puppy, but it's close.

I wish! Jax will be one the end of the month and if we only had the room for one more; but we have 4!

I'm on a waiting list, trying to be as patient as possible.

This is another benefit of joining your local Lab club! You end up making friends, and then get invited to socialize and attend puppy "parties" (puppy evaluations). The puppy highlight of the year thus far, was visiting with my friend's litter of 6-week old Sussex Spaniels (my friend breeds/shows Labs and also Sussex). Talk about cute! They are a rare breed, so it was especially cool to experience them at that age.

I love to see all the puppies too. But not ready yet as Jax is only 1.

Yep I got puppy fever bad!!! My Lab is just over 2 years and I definitely want another lab within the next 1-2 years.I love love love looking at the puppy photos. I definitely don't want to play with some-one else's lab....I want the joy of spending a lot of time every day with a lab puppy, watching all the changes and experiencing it all again. I remember eating breakfast when my lab was a puppy and she jumped up onto the footstool and started to slurp the porridge on the other side of the bowl. I want all these experiences again!!

I will hopefully have a Lab puppy within the next 2 years! I think it will be the perfect time for Maxx, Emma would probably pass but she will fall in love in short order. I just pray I am lucky enough to have another mellow, sweet baby, like Maxx was. Surely I have more than paid my dues over the years!

Linus is barely one and just going through puppyhood, while I really love it, I am also looking forward to not having to go through all these phases. Right now we are in the "horn dog" phase. We also seem to be in the "I know I've been going to training classes 2-3 times per week since I was 10 weeks old but I have no idea what those commands mean anymore" phase.
