    One Year Later...

Comet came home from Cornell one year ago today...
And today I am proud to say he is one healthy mother f$&@er! Comet is the most considerate dog that I know.
Thank you all again for the thoughts and the prayers.

And a a special shout out to Sue-Ram for sending him crinkle toys that she found!!! Thank you!

So glad you have a healthy, happy dog- that was a horrible situation for both of you to go thru. I think he may need an extra treat and a big hug today.

I am so happy Comet is 100%! I remember what a roller coaster ride you had last year.

I remember the thread well and I remember how weirdly invested I was in Comet's recovery. Maybe it was because I had recently lost my own yellow lab, but I was so happy when he turned the corner. Merry Christmas Comet and hopes for many more happy New Years.

A few days ago I thought about making a video about "the year later". I remembered Comet had health issues at the same time Cookie did last year. I thought about how you guys were doing and now I see your thread! It's amazing, the difference a year makes.

    Merry Christmas!

It's amazing how fast a year goes in retrospect...but when you're dealing with something heart-wrenching, the time seems to drag.

Comet's story wrenched us all. It's wonderful that your (did you really call him that???) did as well as he did...and continues to thrive.
