Pet beds / Chromium 6 update.

Fran is doing well on her detox program. She's pretty much back to her normal self and no stomach upsets since.

The company in Texas which sells their beds at Costco got back to me and stated that, although the beds are assembled in the US, most of their material comes from China.

One thing we noticed was that, of the four colors of fabric that make up the two different kinds of beds we bought, Fran was licking one color in particular. I wonder if I could get it tested somewhere.

Would the color happen to be red or blue? Don't know why those two colors ring bells for me. I'm sure there is somewhere that the fabric could be tested. Maybe the Consumer Protection Agency?

Argh. But so glad she's recovering. But freaking Argh. With nothing whatever against China, I do all I can not to buy their products if they are related to food or anything for pets or children.

In re dog beds, we recently (as in, post-accident, but pre-surgery) bought Hoku a Big Barker bed. She's used it a few times (mainly still preferring her old flattened out bed under the table, as she's not allowed on the couch now); mainly has been used by one of us sitting next to her so she'll stay quiet. The dang thing is comfortable (and yes, I'd checked: made in the USA).
