    Skijoring!!

Labs are not a breed that is necessarily the best for the sport, but Thor is learning! My husband took this video of Thor pulling him on skis today.

The problem is that this is a park that is specifically for off-leash dogs and skiing, so thor knows it as a place to play and make friends. As soon as another dog would come along he'd want to go off and play, which isn't great when you're strapped in to a 2-way harness! He did good, though, and will get there!

That is so cool!! I would think that's great exercise, low impact on the snow, and at the end of the day you have one tired pup!!!! Thor you are always ready for anything!!!

VEry good. I'm impressed he stays off the track sets, don't want to ruin them. We used to meet a man skijoring with a big standard poodle. As if the dog's contribution was not enough the man was skating, downhill yet.

    Go Thor!

Know a lady who has two German short hair pointers who are doing great at this. Was a little surprised at the breed but apparently they excel at the sport.

Wow, so awesome!! I am new to the world of labs, so I don't always have a lot of input, but that is very cool!

Wish we had enough snow to try this! I know someone who has done it with a Tibetan mastiff.

That's great! We tried to teach Kimber to pull DH on rollerblades (we don't consistently get snow) but we'd taught her too well not to pull on leash. It looks like Thor was, as usual, awesome!

Good job, Thor! I've always thought skijoring looks fun. Of course, Thor makes everything look fun.
