    K9 keg pull

We've signed Thor up for an event next weekend called the K9 Keg Pull. Never done it before, but the idea is that dogs put on a skijoring harness and run between gates while pulling a beer container (empty). The container depends on the size of the dog, apparently last year they had some teeny things pulling empty cans. [emoji1] Fastest time in each weight bracket wins.

Luckily Thor is used to skijoring, but we weren't sure how he'd react to something else strapped behind him. So today my husband attached the sled that he uses to pull firewood to the house. Thor didn't care at all and happily walked around with it behind him.

So with that out of the way we decided to give it some weight. Thor pulled really well, I think he's ready for next weekend! Also, he has a new job as firewood hauler.

Looks like Thor is really enjoying it. Be sure to take pictures. Have not heard of this other than Swiss Mountain Dogs and their organized pulls.

I'm trying to figure out how we'll be able to wrangle Thor and do photographs, because I'm sure it will be a hoot! I definitely plan on reporting back.

And while Thor seems well prepared at home with few distractions, we'll see how he does with a crowd of people and dogs. Because if there is one thing he loooooves it is crowds of people and dogs.
