so I ordered a variocage large kennel I found online for less than $700 shipped

I hope this one fits and will follow up...if it doesnt fit, Chili just gonna be tethered in the back.

TransK9 is another option if the Variocage doesn't fit. I have one in my Outback and like it a lot.

well the variocage arrived. it looks like it will take an hour or so to put together, lotta parts. I like that its adjustable size, why its complicated to put together.

Hopefully it will work for you. I have a couple of friends who love their variocages .... too expensive for me though

I wasnt going to buy one at retail, but was surfing net and saw the large single on sale for 680 with 10% off and free shipping and impulse bought. It looks like it will fit in my crewcab back seat and the wifes lexus. I will post some pics later.

Nice car, aerodynamic, that's why a lot of square/rectangle cages won't fit. I drive a Jeep, shaped like a brick, very UN areodynamic but it has a tall opening. I don't use a cage though I have a dog hammock gizmo over the back seat area.

voodoo, I like your avatar, I just got a new plate for my Jeep, looks similar.

Congrats on the car! Looks snazzy. I have the double XXL variocage and I love it, but putting it together was time consuming. Luckily my cousin is a rocket scientist, so I called him to help me. :-) Whenever I go to shows or classes with new folks, I always get at least one person who asks me where I got my variocage and my pet loader folding steps.

this is fully extended and chili just barely fits...chili is a big lab as the cage is 25in high and his butt just fits standing. more pics later.

Chili can laydown and has been comfy last 45 min in crate w/out barking/whining....Im optimistic.

This fit really well, fully extended it was at headrest base to trunk with abouth 1 foot to spare. I am looking for tie down solutions tho, in the rear no problem have 8+ tiedowns, but for the forward portion of cab need to find some tie downs.

chili fits perfectly when down and curled up, its a perfect fit....by an inch
