Even the labs seemed to have their coats sort of fluffed up for show - and to think I thought I was going some by just brushing the mud off! I've never bathed a dog for a show in my life!
They don’t dress like that for most shows, LOL. From what I’ve seen (I don’t show in Conformation but am around it at shows where they also offer Obedience), handlers tend to dress down (jeans, boots, and canvas jackets seem common at least around here) at Lab Specialties, dress better at all-breed shows (suits but not with sequins) and really only get glitzy and sequined for Westminster.

Even the Obedience people dressed in sequins for Westminster. I was joking with my friends that if I do get to show there next year or the year after, I’ll have to start shopping now!
