Take 2 ~ Gorgeous Day today and lots of water

We have had record rains and flooding, landslides, mud/rock slides, road closures, levy breaches, and dam failures. So Much Water.

The sun finally came out and it has been gorgeous, and it's so green too, Spring has Sprung! I stopped on my way home from getting my hair did, (Wednesday) less than 5 minutes from the house, to look at the creek that is barely a trickle in the spring, and its already running with the most water I have ever seen it, in 20 years.

    OK lets try this again.

It's so green! I've been watching the weather down there - the flooding in San Jose is very close to our old home. I can't believe the amount of rain! I'm driving down for work next week and I'm more worried about the CA flooding than getting through the snowy passes in OR.

Just make sure you check the roads before you leave, and the area around Oroville, that area is still under an advisory. The good thing is, we will have a little rain (and snow at lower elevations, Like Mt Tam and Mt Diablo) this weekend, then should dry out for a week or two.

    Safe Travels!!

So glad Cal. is getting rain to alleviate the drought, but that much water too quick is not a good thing. Water is so violent when running fast.

And, we don't have enough storage for it all, they are letting water out of the reservoirs to prepare for Sierra snow melt, so it's all going in to the Pacific Ocean!

We've had a lot of downed trees in the city because the soil is being completely destroyed by the influx of rain. Luckily I don't think any injuries yet but a lot of crushed cars.

And ... we are forecasted for snow tonight. We get snow about once every 4-5 years
