You're funny...it takes a good bit to get me laughing out loud at the monitor, and you do. Cute video.

Hey everyone!
I recently tried Coopers treats and well... interesting! LOL!
Have any of you done this?

I just remembered something from decades ago...figured this was the place to share it.
I was somewhere between 6 1/2 and 8 years old and had a mother who refused to have sweet stuff in the house...so I didn't have cookies. One day when we had Tuffy (my first dog) out for his walk, I decided to taste one of his cookies. (Milk Bone brand...don't know the ingredients and this was back in the 1950's...probably better ingredients than what's in them today.) They weren't bad. So I'd nibble on the end of one and then give Tuffy the rest.
Then I saw an advertisement for whatever brand it was that came in 5 shapes/5 colors/5 flavors and I convinced my mother to get those the next time. I tasted one of them...probably the yellow cheese wedge variety...and couldn't get it out of my mouth fast enough. Tuffy liked them well enough but I told my mother to not buy them again because they tasted horrible. I don't know who made them but I'm thinking it was somebody like Alpo. Gag.

I know I'm the only one who cares about this but those danged biscuits have been haunting me...I was determined to find out just what those vile things were.
Ken-L-Ration brand Ken-L-Treats. Here's an eBay item selling an ad for these things: https://picclick.co.uk/1955-Ken-L-Tr...145843894.html
Whew...now I can turn off the computer.

Ha ha, Sundance! Those were indeed the Ken-L-Ration biscuits that were shaped like a wedge of cheese, fish, a heart, a milk bottle, something green, I don't know what else. I ate a fair number of those as a kid, actually. Obviously, we are the same generation! I did share them with our boxer, Ginger, but I think I liked the ones shaped liked milk bottle the best. Why, in heaven's name, were we eating dog biscuits?

There's a bag of Peanut Butter snacks on our fridge that has me tempted from time to time.
My dogs love the classic cremes too! Now that you've tried them I might have to give it a shot.

Don't know of many people my age who as kids had not tried milk bones. Definitely remember they were not to my taste.

I remember trying milk bones long ago. The box definitely made it look tastier. I couldn't figure out why my dog liked them so much.
In a somewhat related story, but different....my parents once offered my niece a piece of beef jerky. She took one look at it and said, 'Those are dog treats' and refused to try it. Because to her, it looks like the dog jerky treats I give to Sierra.
I read the title and thought, yeah! Of course! We treat our dogs apple, banana, carrots and sweet potato though. I keep forgetting that that's not typical.
