In my mind, it's more of a sales agreement rather than a "contract". I usually use it to spell out things to the buyer that I don't want them coming back to me on. I make them initial points and sign the bottom, if they don't read, that's up to them. I have a copy in my file. Typically I find that there is nothing in there that usually makes that big of a difference as long as you aren't planning to do anything weird. If you "break" something, typically you aren't guaranteed on anything. Feed the wrong food as contracted, no guarantees on replacement puppies or money back. Stuff like that. I can see being hesitant about picking the contract apart. If there is a specific part that has you worried, PM me about it. Sometimes you just have to go with it. I have a 10 page contract from Tickle's breeder. I can't even tell you what it says. Most important, I paid $$, I got a dog. I can't keep dog, she gets it back. The rest doesn't matter to me. If she has HD, I keep her and assume MY responsibility. Things like Limited registration and breeding stuff, should be respected. But like I said PM me your specific concerns if you want.
