You don't like puppy breath? I'm not sure you can be a member of this board if you don't like puppy breath.

(obviously just kidding....but most of us love the smell of puppy breath)

Ah, a Springer!!! What distinguishes a Welsh Springer from a normal Springer?

Hubby and I went to the International Military Tattoo last September held in a stadium in the "bailey"(not sure what they call that front lawn) of Edinburgh Castle. Anyhow, you can imagine it would be a spectacular terror target with International impact. Prior to one of the events, I saw a Springer working under and around all the bleachers and porta-potties. I was so impressed with his drive and intensity. He was amazing. And I think because they are smaller than Labs, they can get into smaller spaces.

A Welsh Springer Spaniel has a dome shaped head unlike other springers. A Welshie has not been mixed with any other breed so the pedigree has been maintained for hundreds of years. They were used to hunt game because of how they spring in the grass. Hunters who used falcons and other tools aside from guns used the Welshies to hunt. They are more mellow than the English Springer.
